New York-based advertising agency Left Off Madison hosted its first annual company offsite in July on the islands of Turks and Caicos. The timing marks two years following its start. The intention of the off-site is to assess, plan, and prioritize efforts to grow the agency’s brand and business for the year ahead.

Left Off Madison leadership Boris Litvinov, Mike Persaud and Robert Douglas made the trip as did their respective families. It is also a time for connection and bonding among the families.

“Our families are equally invested in Left Off Madison as we are,” says agency chief executive officer Rob Douglas, “They are the ones who feel the brunt of our joy or disappointment and excitement or frustration each day.”

The agency leadership met surfside each morning of the multi-day trip to tackle an agenda of pre-planned topics. Discussions ranged from client roster needs and new business opportunities to it’s own marketing efforts and financial management. By about noon, the leadership team breaks to rejoin the family group and embark on excursions and activities– or simply downtime to decompress.

The morning meetings have led to a variety of initiatives including the spin-off and launch of a standalone production company named Right Off Vine (www.RightOffVine.com). Publicity and public relations efforts for the fast-growing small agency were green-lit as was a new Left Off Madison website created and produced by its own production team.

The idea for a company offsite stems from the agency’s past when its leadership was a part of another ad agency that made it a practice for annual offsites to tropical destinations for its entire team. That former agency got acquired by major holding company, Dentsu, in the United States.

The trip was deemed a success on many levels and will be prioritized in 2024 and beyond. Who’s ready?!
